Neo-Nazis run over Muslim is a better headline than Muslim runs over Muslim.

Anyone get really OUTRAGED by this story going round the internet of an evil far right protester running over an innocent woman?
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/muslim-woman-run-down-far-right-activist-anti-islamic-rally-brussels-a6965901.html
Turns out she wasn't run over by a "far right activist" at all.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3520777/Muslim-woman-mown-grinning-far-right-activist-stops-PICTURE-anti-Islam-rally-troubled-Brussels-district-Molenbeek.html
"Police later announced that they had arrested two men, believed to have been the car's driver and passenger, who have been named as Redouane B. and Mohamed B - both of whom are thought to be residents of Molenbeek."
Wonder when we can expect an apology from all the parties who've strongly hinted or just outright lied about the facts on this?

Stirling, can you point out where I have had a 'hissy fit'? The actual words. It's you that appears to become aggressively defensive when you perceive any criticism of Islam.

i think mims point re polarised communities is the most valid point here. it is something that is storing up alot of trouble and we have seen evidence already in what can go wrong, the onus should have been on immigrant communities to intergrate but as mim says, the liberal forces in this country decided to chuck translators into schools, ban xmas etc...
re mosques - surface is having a hissy fit as he thinks radical extremist stuff goes on but won't take a simple step to bust the myth once and for all. most mosques are pretty empty for the 5 daily prayers, women can go in the larger ones. only friday prayers are sold out...
mosques actually do a crap job re providing services to the local community, they are mostly run by citizen khan types. they could & should do much more for local non muslims, homeless, food banks, oaps etc.. maybe they will as younger more educated intergrated BRITISH BORN muslims get involved.

Sure. Some had ben to Northern Ireland but even there there wasn't too much actual conflict.
Most honestly thought that proper war was over.

I know a few and if you join up thinking you're never going to fight a real war, then they must be idiots

Do you know many military? I had several friends in the Navy around the Falklands war. They hadn't expected military action for decades. They were fucking shocked.

Just reading about the Peshawar school thing now. Even Al Quaida condemned it. Fucking hell. What sort of absolute fucking cunt would you have to be to be involved in anything like that.

Rios.
I'd probably only fight if the cunts were at the door. However, its hard to imagine the scenario. I do remember the troops all being a bit miffed when they found themselves fighting in the Falklands and then the middle east. Most hadn't signed up to actually fight.
I can't see us trying to educate the world at the end of a sword forever and I suppose just selling them drones and tanks and land mines is a far easier way of doing it?

I put it as "if I recall correctly".
Well done for picking up on the half a sentence that wasn't key to the main gist of the post. I'm off home.
God bless all.

That's just what the western allies dropped on Europe, by the way, and excludes German, Russian and Italian bombing in Europe and all of the Pacific theatre.

29,000 bombs is a lot of bombs but doesn't really come close to the 2.8 millions tons of bombs dropped in the course of more than 4 million sorties by the USAAF and RAF alone.
You should probably stop quoting that particular load of nonsense.

Fifth, just London alone:
Between September and November, almost 30,000 bombs were dropped on London. In the first 30 days, almost 6,000 people were killed and twice as many badly injured.

The problem at the very heart of this is Israel and Palestine which can be easily be resolved we can either flip a coin for who gets the whole of the country or if there is a dispute on who calls first lets have a two legged football tie with penalties at the end for the title.
